Jeff, please locate that specific warning. I must have missed it. Thread title and post number will suffice.![]()
Well, I happen to agree 100% with mah. You are not God's appointed audio advisor. Figure it out, your attitude has got you nowhere but tossed on several other audio forums. Non of us likes to be preached to over and over about how your way is the only way and everything else is a fail. According to you my MC40 monoblocks are junk as well as almost every members amplifiers on this and other forums.
Mah contributes a LOT of good info to this forum, you have caused untold problems and many of us are sick of you.
Sorry Jeff, you reap what you sow.

Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.
It was what YOU wrote up here, and you used a word like " Badgering" or "Bickering" ...or SOME word like that, that you seemed to say the Moderators had accused you of, in relationship to me.
I have no time or interest to find that, you can do so, if you want to. You are superb in finding obscure things on line. do a search of this Forum.

Jeff, To put it simply, you are wrong. The Moderators put out a general warning re forum behaviour. No names but possible moderator actions. Get it right before you post.

Baloney !!! After you layed LOW for a week or two, you did a post saying that the Moderators didn't want you badgering / bickering / ( or some word like that ) ....ME !!
It was YOU who wrote the words. You may have edited it since then. I sure got a kick out of reading it.
Worst of all, you still continue to do it.

Guys isnt there room for all of our thoughts, the world can be ugly, lets try not to make this place so. I love the engineer and what can be measured only, but there has to be some room for creative wacky experimentation.... lets face it, we all want better sound any way we can get it!!!
I liked your post. Many thoughts we have to hold back, to keep a decent presentation of one's ideas on this Forum. Hopefully, we all do this.
re: your comments on " creative wacky experimentation ".......
As far as EEs and measurements go, the problem is that audio is too complex to be measured accurately, comprehensively, with the tools we have on hand,.
So, audible things, that DO make a difference, need to be designed INTO the equipment, by a few top notch, intuitive designers. Such people may use existing measuring equipment, but also mainly design by ear, with the ear being the final judge.
Of course, a typical EE will turn over in their grave, when we talk about designing things intuitively and subjectively making design decisions.
The validity of just such an approach is is easily proven, however, by those few top-notch designers of audio gear and their products. Simply listen to a recent Spectral DMA-200 or, on ALTECS, a recent Serious Stereo 2A3 amp....and its " all over ". Hearing is believing....and understanding.
This would be counter-intuitive to the typical EE's training and way of thinking, so many speak out and go on to design ( and even implement their own home systems. )..... with little or no listening experience to the few best-possible choices that are available.
All I write about is IMHO and IME, of course!!
Regards,
